The Karavanke Mountains
The Karavanke mountains are the longest Slovenian mountain range, a 120 km long massif, which highest peak is 2,236 m high Stol. Due to their strategic position between western and south-eastern Europe, the Karavanke range are full of passes with mountain trails. These mountains have preserved their original wild environment and with their gorges, stunning views they are simply enchanting. It is no surprise that the Karavanke range are a true magnet for mountain bikers. The extensive network of ideal trails offers limitless combinations of tours among the mountains, on them, around them and in many places literally through them. Mountain and forest trails, as well as cart tracks, seem to be custom-made for mountain cycling and that is why you can actually take bike tours all around the Karavanke mountains.

Day 1: ARRIVAL AT BIKE BASE JAMNICA

Day 2: AROUND SINGLE TRAIL PARK JAMNICA

The Jamnica ride takes you to hills which are surrounding our base. It features forest and dirt roads as well as some easy single trails. Smooth single trails, abandoned tractor trails, awesome views and manageable climbs make it perfect for people who are just starting with cycling. However, also the experienced bikers will definitely enjoy the offered playground.
Terrain: Forest roads, cart tracks and some Single Trails around Jamnica 20 – 30 km

Day 3: GEOPARK KARAVANKE
Itinerary: Jamnica (870 m) – Mežica (495 m) – Sv. Duh (1.250)
Distance: 45km, + 1.100 h.m.
Terrain:local tarmac roads, forest roads, (tarmac 70 %, gravel 30 % )
Why some areas are better for mountain cycling than others? You can find the answer in the Geopark Karavanke where the wealth of geological formations and diversity of rock provide outstanding terrain for cycling. The natural environment of the Geopark, which extends around Mt. Peca, is noted for its exceptional biodiversity. The geological faults and over thrusts, as well as the numerous flash flood waters and rivers, have helped to shape the dynamic landscape and created a diverse, picturesque panorama that will accompany you on all your cycling tours here.

Day 4: MOUNTAIN PANORAMA ROAD
Itinerary: Sv. Duh (1.250 m) – Bela (850 m) - Jezersko (900 m)
Distance: 37 km + 750 h.m.
Terrain:mountain tarmac road across two mountain passes (tarmac 80 %, gravel 20 %)
Cycling between isolated farms in the Savinja Alps is a first- class pleasure and many bikers agree that this panoramic mountain road offers the most beautiful views in the Slovenian Alps. You can ride down into a beautiful Alpine glacial valley, the Logarska valley, or follow the mountain road to the top of a high mountain pass at the border to Austria, from where you will ride down and up to the next (lower) pass that will finally get you to the village of Jezersko.

Day 5: MOUNTAIN RIVERS AND LAKE BLED
Itinerary: Jezersko (900 m) – Otoče (400 m) - Bled (504 m)
Distance: 55 km, + 900 h.m
Terrain:local tarmac roads, some dirt forest roads ( tarmac 60 %, gravel 40 %)
In the morning you will cycle down the Kokra valley. In the vicinity of the biggest Slovenian river Sava you will ride to lake Bled, the icon of Slovenian tourism. With its outstanding natural beauty lake Bled, together with its surroundings, ranks among the most beautiful Alpine resorts.
